How to Identify Moths or Bugs in Your Rugs

It is always a good idea to check for moth larvae on the back and front of the rugs. Check the back of the rug for things that look like little spider webs or sticky lint. Check the fibers on the face to see if any of them have been eaten away or divots in the fibers. Signs of moth damage are white areas where the foundation is showing through, and thinning of the fibers.

If the rug is really 100% wool the bugs will eat all the way through the rug.
